I don’t always paint and draw birds but I’m definitely in bird mode lately. I learned about our local birds at my Dad’s elbow as he would stop mid sentence and name the bird he spotted and jot it down in the little pocket notebook, ever present in his shirt pocket. I painted some of my favorite song birds in this series called Little Birds. I had fun painting them and almost more fun naming the pieces. Make sure you pay attention to the name s!
