Featured Work

Watercolor with pen and ink painting. A Great Blue Heron stands knee deep in still water, surrounded by sedges, grasses and cat tails. In the background the sky is blue setting into the rusts of sunset and is reflected in the water. The heron is in shades of grey, fawn and white with a contrasting orange beak and eye. His head is tucked against his back and his black crown lies back agains his back. Each feather and blade of vegetation is detailed with fine ink work.

Dusk Watcher

In one of my most recent pieces, a Great Blue Heron stands motionless in shallow water, its long legs among cattails and grasses beneath a fading dusk sky. Dusk Watcher is a study in calm and quiet observation, with fluid strokes capturing the bird’s stillness against the horizontal sweep of twilight color. With minimal lines and soft tonal shifts, the piece evokes patience, grace, and the reflective space between day and night. 16×20 in Floating Walnut Frame $900.00
